Everything's great, except I don't understand why, in the last 20 years or so, there has to be somebody's "visual conception" involved in a great work of musical art. It's like putting a moustache on the Mona Lisa. Here I refer to the lighting. Beethoven doesn't need any help with his art. 200 years later and the audience hasn't changed - donkeys, cows, pigs and sheep.

Oh yes, the famous Franco-Ottoman alliance. At the expense of Eastern European Christian countries. Love this composer, this piece, this ensemble. What a glorious combination. One of the few times I've seen the NCO seated and using (discreetly) scores. No matter, they still dance! Many great memories of playing this work myself. The seconds are super-satisfyingly solid in the first mvt; the violas **everywhere**; and the balance is exquisite. Wonderful video, grateful it has been shared here with us.
